Reefer Racks and Safety Tunnels at Container Terminal,Vlissingen

For the automated container terminal of logistics service provider TBI, we supplied and mounted 30 reefer racks and 38 safety tunnels. We signed a Design and Build contract, which meant that we took care of the steel structural design, the production and assembly.

PROJECT INFORMATION

A reefer is a sea container for goods which have to be transported chilled. By means of a reefer rack the containers are easily accessible in the port when in storage. A reefer safety tunnel ensures that the personnel of the container terminal have safe access to the reefer racks.

Unique feature of this container terminal is the number of reefer plugs: a total of 1,020 reefer containers can be supplied with electricity. Container Terminal Vlissingen handles 250,000 TEU annually.
