An investment of about $120 million, construction to build out Central Municiple Park has officially begun with multiple phases in the works. Phases two and three are schedule to be completed at the end of 2022 with phase four in 2023. 

ZHM Huawu Steel has been awarded the contract to design-build a new 985m2 PTFE tensile membrane amphitheater structure as part of the project's phase four plan. 

The new amphitheater will be a great space for residents and visitors to spend time listening to a concert under a ZHM fabric roof. In addition to the new tensile pavilion structure, the park will include a new indoor rec center, multi-use sports fields, lakefront promenade and cultural plaza, nature areas and kayak launch just to name a few. 

ZHM Huawu Steel's scope for the project includes design, detailing, fabrication, delivery and installation of the PTFE-coated fiberglass membrane, supporting structural steel front arched truss, all perimeter columns, structural cables and end fittings as well as membrane clamping hardware. Anticipated completion of the new tensioned fabric amphitheater is set for 4th quarter of 2023.
