Introduction
Prefabricated Steel Buildings for Textile Sewing Plant Workshop in Mauritius

Our client's vast project of expansion led to the construction of a new 'usine de confection' (nothing to do with confectionery, but meaning 'finishing' or make-up). It is the principal production centre for CMT in Mauritius, measuring 750,000 square feet, and employing over 2500 people. Two lengths of 54m long cyclone resistant ridge ventilation were installed into the textile factory to ensure the comfort and safety of workers. Interestingly, We also created several overhanging toilet 'pods' which were suspended on the exterior wall of the building, saving valuable space inside the factory and keeping the toilets out of the working areas.
