Options
There are many ways to dress up your steel building for appearance or function. Many steel buildings are unrecognizable from the exterior due to creative finish facials, while the inside tells the story with large clear span space. Other than your imagination, here are a few options we offer to change the appearance of the exterior of your building. Wainscot This is used as a simple decorative feature to add contrasting color to the wall. This can be installed at any height you wish or even a multitude of heights for a very interesting effect. Our system uses an attractive break with trim separating the top and bottom sheets, rather than just overlapped panels. All trim both top and bottom can be selected for your desired finished look. Roof Extensions Another way our customers want to prevent a typical box look is to add roof extensions to their building. The roof lines of all walls can be extended to your desired length, or maybe controlled independently if you desire longer extensions on specific walls. In all cases our extensions come with soffit panels and trim to finish the desired look you are after. Roof Slopes A very simple way to add appearance to a building is changing the roof slope. The slope of a metal building can simply be altered from ½:12 to 12:12 with no problems. Unlike wood, our metal building software calculates the required size for the rafters, so snow loads are not as dependant on the slope, just keep in mind slopes above 4:12 are extremely hard to walk on. Custom Designed Many customers want a special look, changing the slope to an offset look or even the old barn gambrel or raised center appearance. These are easy to due while still maintaining the clear span interior. |
