ZHM Huawu Steel recently completed a new design-build 4,000-seat covered outdoor amphitheater as part of a transformation and revitalization in the City.
The new entertainment venue will feature a floating-like free span tensile membrane roofing system. The 4,500 square meter tensioned membrane roof includes a combination of a translucent acoustical tensile fabric roofing material and single layer PTFE-coated fiberglass membrane. In addition to the bandshell structure, ZHM Huawu Steel constructed 16 Quasar Modular shade canopies throughout the park.
ZHM's scope included design, engineering, fabrication, and installation of the main structural steel, fabric roof, cables, catwalks, and attachment hardware.
Designed to connect the waterfront and the Downtown community, Imagine includes an expansive park and recreational spaces, a gateway plaza and bluff walk that connects the park to downtown, a bay walk promenade overlooking the Intracoastal beach, and a lake area with picnic shelters.
