High Grade Gold Mine Building in Canada
The End Customer's Mine is a 2,700 ton/day high-grade gold underground mine located in northwestern British Columbia. This plant site houses a complex process in which concentrate is pressure-leveled in acidic solutions to separate iron, sulfur, and other impurities from nickel, copper, and cobalt.
ZHM Huawu Steel Building Systems designed, detailed and fabricated a series of custom pre-engineered steel buildings and auxiliary steel facilties (transfer towers, conveyor gantry galleries, hopper, silos bunkers,etc) for this project. This heavy structural custom portal steel building features a 42m eave height, four large overhead bridge cranes, a 345psf snow load (approx. 1.7ton/m2), and multiple levels and locations of interior equipment steel platforms. It is fully cladded with insulated metal panel. As a truly unique and complex project, the building site is located in a remote and mountainous area of Canada bringing many inherent construction and delivery challenges to the project. A commitment to a transparent process and execution of our focus resulted in a successful project delivered on-time and under-budget.
