Glencore Onaping Depth Project Headworks Steel Detailing,Fabrication and Delivery

ZHM Huawu Steel was engaged by Cementation for the Detailing,Fabrication and Delivery of the steel related to the Headworks of the Internal Shaft for the Onaping Depth Project at Craig Mine, located in Onaping (Sudbury), Ontario. 
‍
The scope of supply is related to the Detailing,Fabrication and Delivery supply of the following items. The Headworks steel provides the structural support for the mine operations at the upper end of the production shaft.

ZHM Huawu Steel executed the following main construction activities:

Phase 1: Main Steel & Stair Tower – Elevation 2205.638m to 2217.638m
Phase 2: Main Steel & Stair Tower (continued) – Elevation 2217.638m to 2229.638m
Phase 3: Main Steel (continued) – Elevation 2229.638m to 2235.638m
Phase 4: Main Steel (continued) – Elevation 2235.638m to 2246.806m
Phase 5: Bin Steel plateworks– Elevation 2205.638m to 2217.638m
Phase 6: Bin Steel plateworks (continued) – Elevation 2217.638m to 2229.638m
Phase 7: Platforms/Miscellaneous Steel – Elevation 2247.468m to 2205.638m

The deliverables of this project were assured as ZHM Huawu Steel is a skilled steelworks sub-contractor with experience in the erection of headframes. The on-site team maintained frequent communication with Cementation and Glencore representatives to ensure transparency regarding progress and costs, and to further strengthen their working relationships. 

The project was effectively built to spec as per design and completed safely.
