1.The typical layout of the reefer racks is shown on the Definition Drawings.

2.Stack 50 & 60 shall be prepared for future installation of reefer racks. The foundation shall have no interference with container stacking grid. The stacking grid shall accommodate for 20ft container stacking.

3.The reefer racks shall be designed for the stacking arrangement listed in the Appendix I “Design Criteria".

4.Reefer passages are required to provide a safe corridor for movement of personnel from one reefer rack to another within the same yard block. The passages are to be as shown on the Definition Drawings. They shall be designed and constructed as per section requirement.

5.At least 1 No. car parking space shall be provided at the landside transfer point (as indicated on the Definition Drawing) of each block of reefer racks, for use by reefer technicians and maintenance personnel. The parking space shall be protected from passing operational equipment by bollards.

6.The pedestrian access routes shall be clearly defined between each block of reefer racks and the nearest parking space. The pedestrian access routes shall be segregated from vehicle lanes, equipment operational areas and container stacking areas by physical barriers where practical, provided that this does not restrict operations. Pedestrian routes shall be marked with linemarking in accordance with “Line Marking & Signage”.

Part 2: Geometrical Constraints  of Reefer racks and passenger tunnels

1.The geometry of the reefer racks shall be as per Appendix I “Design Criteria” and as  shown on the Definition Drawings.

2.The specified geometry of the reefer racks shall not be deviated from existing reefer rack structures without specific approval from the Employer, as this may influence terminal layout, equipment interfaces, operational procedures, and/or safety provisions.

3. Columns and any bracing shall be positioned so that they do not obstruct access to the reefer containers, or to the reefer passages or other pedestrian access.
